Did you know that the Arkansas Razorbacks are the only major US team to use a porcine name? Arkansas sports were once played under the Cardinals mascot, until 1910 when the student body voted to change the name of the teams. Hall of fame coach Hugo Bezdek stated his team played "like a wild band of Razorback hogs." The name proved so popular among Arkansas alumni and fans that it was changed for the 1910 season. The saying "Woo, Pig, Sooie!" was added in the 1920s and remains a famous yell for Hogs fans.
